ALLESANDERSSTADT · Window 02
Bundestag
Theatre
A political institution becomes a stage on which the city’s hidden history can be told.
Politics decides from above. Transformation begins below.
The Bundestag becomes a miniature theatre. An old professor beetle narrates how insects were forced underground, invented the white blossoming universal language plant, and enabled burned out cigarettes to transform into flower headed beings.
Recorded voice, small engines, moving figures, and changing stage backgrounds will turn the political institution into a playful space of explanation. This chapter introduces the shared language that makes ALLESANDERSSTADT possible.
The work is still being constructed. The images below show the first physical translation of the idea: the architecture of the Bundestag is compressed into a theatrical structure while discarded denim becomes a deep blue stage background.

The parliament is becoming a theatre.
Still to come
Voice, movement, characters, and changing scenes.
The next phase will develop the professor beetle, the audience and stage figures, the mechanical movement, lighting, recorded narration, and the sequence of backgrounds through which the origin of the universal language plant is revealed.
